Abstract
The purpose of this research is to investigate and compare the physical education and the curriculum of Korea and China, and suggest for the curriculum development of physical education teacher in both countries. For this, Korea-China physical education and curriculum was specifically compared with the method of classifying the types of physical education and subjects of curriculum and analyzing the grades in both countries. The results are as follows; First, in the classification of curriculum type, there are liberal arts (called as general subject in China), major subjects and elective subjects (called as general elective subjects in Korea and discretional elective subjects in China) in both Korea and China in common. But, while there are teaching subjects in Korea, there are practice subjects in China. Second, in the division of the grades, both countries are performing the major subject as main courses, and grade proportion of liberal arts is high in second place, but Korea regards the elective subjects as more important. On the basis of these results, the suggestions for improvement of physical education and curriculum in China are to add the courses of teaching fields and make the selection of grades to be flexible. And the suggestions for improvement of physical education and curriculum in Korea-China are the improvement of education practice, the need of safety education for physical education, emphasis on special physical education, extension of elective subjects and etc.

Abstract
The purposes of this study were to investigate a) current technology practices in physical education, b) learning sources for technology integration, and c) influential factors for PE teachers’ use of technology. One hundred nine participants were recruited from multiple sources and completed a web-based survey. Among them, responses of 97 were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inductive qualitative analysis. The study found current K-12 PE teachers have a higher tendency to use technologies that are typically used for teacher productivity, rather than student learning. Regarding learning sources for technology integration, participants primarily learn to use technology through informal learning sources. Four themes concerning the influential factors emerged from the open-ended question. They include a) access to technology, b) lack of training and time to learn, c) perceived value of technology integration and d) knowledge to integrate technology. This study indicates the need for quality technology integration training to help PE teachers for successful technology integration for student learning.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present a valid and reliable questionnaire to measure transformational leadership in Chinese professional basketball coaches, based on the TLQ, modified by Li and Shi (2005) in China. According to the purpose of the study, 384 players from the Chinese professional basketball league including the CBA and the WCBA were surveyed by a modified TLQ on the transformational leadership ability of their coaches. To verify its construct validity and internal consistency, EFA, CFA, and reliability analysis were employed on 358 valid responses. Those tests examined that the new TLQ for Chinese professional basketball coaches has sufficient validity and reliability to utilize. The results identified 4 factors consisting with 25 items as followed: vision articulation (6 items), charisma (6 items), moral modeling (7 items), and individualized consideration (6 items). The new TLQ-CPBC had identical constructs with the existing TLQ in China; however, it was much different from the TLQ-LGV for a UK case. Also, the TLQ-CPBC was similar to the MLQ. That was accounted by unique cultural background in China.

Abstract
Physical activity (PA) plays an important role in healthy aging among older adults. Web-based interventions may present a novel and accessible way to promote PA in older adults. This study systematically explored the effectiveness of web-based interventions designed to promote PA in older adults. A systematic search of published and unpublished literature using PubMed, ProQuest, and ProQuest Dissertations and Theses identified 10 qualifying studies. From these, we identified three methods of web-based delivery for PA intervention in older adult populations: (a) online assessment; (b) PA online materials; and (c) tailored messages. Seven of the10 studies also reported significant changes in PA levels between the intervention and control groups over their respective study periods. Results also indicated that individually tailoring web-based interventions may increase the effectiveness of the intervention. Results of this systematic review will help practitioners develop more effective web-based interventions targeting PA among older adults.

Abstract
The present study aimed to investigate the effects of cold exposure and/or exercise on resting energy metabolism over 24 h and on BAT activity and browning of WAT related gene responses. Forty ICR male mice were divided into four groups: thermoneutrality-untrained (23 ± 1°C in room temperature, n=10), cold-water immersion (24 ± 1°C, n=10), exercise in neutral temperature (34 ± 1°C, n=10), and exercise in cold temperature (24 ± 1°C, n=10). The mice performed swim training (30 min to 60 min, 5 days/week) for 8 weeks. After end of experiment, we confirmed BAT activity and browning of WAT-related gene expression changes in interscapular-BAT and inguinal adipose tissue, and measured resting energy metabolism over 24 h. The results showed that the relative tissue weights of BAT and inguinal fat tissue differed by temperature (p = 0.016, p= 0.001 respectively). The UCP1 mRNA expression in BAT showed a significant effect in the exercised groups (p = 0.038). The sum of the oxygen uptake, only a significant temperature effect (p = 0.040) was observed and the average of the RER showed a significant temperature (p = 0.024) and exercise (p = 0.008) effect. Our data demonstrate that cold exposure and exercise independently induces the gene expression of thermogenic markers and the energy metabolic rate. The relative expression of these markers and the change of the energy metabolism indicators differed across the tissues and experimental treatments. In conclusion, our results suggest that cold exposure and exercise has no synergy effect on thermogenic markers of BAT and beige/brite adipose tissue and energy metabolism over 24h.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the changes of the physical fitness of firefighters from 2011 to 2016 on each gender. The data of the six physical fitness tests (grip strength, back strength, sit and reach, standing long-jump, sit-up, and shuttle-run) were analyzed by using ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. The results were statistically significant improvements in all physical fitness tests from past to recent (p <0.001). The back strength was not only the steepest improvement rate by the year (B = 6.114, p <0.001) but also the difference of the absolute value between gender. The interaction was the greatest (B = 80.276, p <0.001 and B =.668, p <0.001) in back strength. Sit and reach was the slowest rate of growth (B = .668, p <0.001) and was only fitness test that female firefighters’ was superior to male firefighters (B = .173, p <0.001). Both firefighters improved their Shuttle-run (p <0.001). Although all fitness level was increased, the female firefighters might have more effort to improve their physical fitness to perform firefighting tasks.

Abstract
Background: No studies have objectively assessed the relationship between body characteristics and Yin-Yang temperament in East-Asian traditional medicine. Here, we determined body composition, anthropometric measurements and physical fitness in individuals with different Yin-Yang temperament, using the Sasang Personality Questionnaire (SPQ).
Methods: This study included 772 female university students. Those scoring in the lower 30% of SPQ scores were placed in the Yin group (226 subjects) and those scoring in the upper 30% in the Yang group (226 subjects). Bioimpedance analysis was used to determine total body water, protein mass, minerals, muscle mass, lean body mass, soft lean mass, body fat percentage, waist-hip ratio, body mass index (BMI), obesity, and basal metabolic rate (BMR). Anthropometric variables were height, weight, and BMI. Physical fitness variables were muscular strength (grip, back strength), agility (tapping), muscular endurance (sit-ups), power (standing long jump), flexibility (trunk flexion), and cardiovascular endurance (Harvard step). Differences between groups were analyzed using a t-test.
Results: Total body water, protein mass, minerals, soft lean mass, lean body mass, and BMR were significantly higher in the Yang group than in the Yin group (p < 0.05). Weight, height, BMI, back strength, muscular endurance, and power were also significantly higher in the Yang group than in the Yin group (p < 0.05).
Conclusion: This study is the first to show that physical traits vary according to Yin-Yang temperament. These data serve as a basis for systematic health management, physical fitness management, and exercise prescription according to Yin-Yang temperament.

Abstract
Drawing on basic need theory, we explored the relationships between psychological well-being (PWB), basic psychological needs (BPN), and social support (SS) among Korean wheelchair curling players. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between PWB, BPN satisfaction, and social support in Korean wheelchair curling players. Fifty- two elite wheelchair curling players registered at the Korea Wheelchair Curling Association (KWCA) were completed a survey. A questionnaire battery includes four categories: (a) a demographic characteristic questionnaire (8 items), (b) the Scales of Psychological Well-Being (SPWB; 16 items), (c) the Scales of Basic Psychological Needs (SBPN; 12 items), (d) Social Support Questionnaire (SSQ; 20 items). All data were collected using self-report questionnaires and analyzed using principle component analysis, Cronbach's α, descriptive statistics, correlation analyses, and robust multiple regression. The Cronbach’s alphas for PWB, BPN, and SS were 0.96, 0.85-0.95, and 0.74-0.90, respectively. Both BPN and SS were significantly correlated with PWB (p < .05). In the regression analysis, BPN and emotional support significantly predicted PWB, explaining 78.1% of the variance. From a theoretical perspective, these results support basic need theory; more practically, the results highlight the potential importance of strategies and environments that support basic need satisfaction and high-quality relationships.
